Long Description:
In the center of Fall River at the corner of North Frontage Street and Third Street is a tower that holds four bells.

The tower is placed acros the street from the present Fall River Government Center and the Post Office. Across Frontage Street is I-195 passing under the government center.

The tower is an open structure where four bells are hung vertically. There is a plaque on a low wall, with the following:

"The chimes in this building were presented to the city of Fall River September 7, 1908 by Samuel Watson in memory of Betty Rowbottom Watson."

A web site that I found has the following additional information:

"City Hall, Fall River, MA
An 11-bell chime by McShane was installed in this city in 1908; the location is uncertain. Three of these bells were re-installed with an hour bell (from a separate source?) in a free-standing clock tower near the City Hall in 1981, and rededicated in 1992. The other 8 bells are reported to be in storage."

Not sure when this was entered or any updates on the remaining bells. It is probable that these bells no longer ring.
