The brass bust is atop a limestone plinth with two plaques. It's roughly life size and sits around 5'8" atop the plinth. It is along the Rockhampton Quay Street esplanade, providing a little more culture and bistory to the area which already strongly characterises both qualities.
Depicted is Rod Laver, champion tennis player. He is shown with his characteristic short wavy hair, and wearing a polo shirt with an open collar. He appears to be at the age when his tennis career was at its height.
