About 9 km. south of Slocan, or 10 km. north of the Winlaw Post Office, at the side of Highway 6, one will find a large dinosaur, near which one will find two levitated plows and these gates.

The gates loudly proclaim the entrance to Pair A Dice Ranch, presently owned by the Alderliestens.
Homesteaded in 1898, this is one of the oldest operating ranches in the Slocan Valley. Pair A Dice consists of a total 200 acres of timber, hayland and pastures.
The pastures produce approximately 50 tons of high quality hay annually. The timbered areas include excellent riding trails and abundant wild life. The ranch is an operating cow-calf operation.
