This Wizard of Oz mural is so appropriate for this area since actress Judy Garland was born in Grand Rapids. The picture depicts characters Dorothy, Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow walking down the yellow brick road; an arrow points the direction to the new museum. It was painted by DAD in 1997.
Update: the mural is now gone since they've replaced the building with a new construction.
