After a vandal broke some fingers on the statue at its former outdoor location in the park, it was restored and placed in a more active public location in the Shakespeare Garden in 2012. It was previously waymarked in another category but at its past location (see WM9QKT, Puck - Montgomery, Alabama, in Famous Fictional Figures).

The description from the Smithsonian web page cited below: "Full-length figure of Puck, a fairy from "A Midsummer Night's Dream, is depicted as a muscular young man with short wavy hair wearing a skirt of leaves. The model for the figure was Yvan Michaud, a ballet dancer."

Additional information from the remarks area: "Commissioned by Wynton & Carolyn Blount for $50,000. Cast no. 1/3. The sculpture was originally installed in the lobby of the Carolyn Blount Theater. In 1989, it was moved outdoors over the objections of some local residents who preferred its indoor location."
