This orientation table is located at the look-out on top of the ridge of Hornfels. The main viewing direction is west, with a view over Birsfelden and Basel.
The table has not much information about standard features, but concentrates on pointing out the main resources of renewable energy in the visible area. Although it is located on German soil, it is a station of an educational Energy Walk, created by the Department of Environment and Energy of the Swiss Canton of Basel-Stadt (station 7 of 17).
