North of Winlaw, this one time Railroad benchmark was on the Slocan Rail Trail.

MIA - From the post office in Winlaw, go 4.3 km. north up Highway 6. Turn left on unnamed road, go 230 metres, turn left again just before the rail trail, then after another 280 metres, stop just after the road crosses the rail trail. Look for the blue witness sign to the west. If you find that, you'll find the monument and the post, but the tablet is long gone. Apparently it was already damaged the last time it was inspected.
