The final resting place of Bettie Fowler is at the southeast corner of El Reno Cemetery, at the south end of the section. Hers is a horizontal marker with the following text:

1889: The Eiffel Tower is inaugurated (opens May 6). At 300 m, the its height exceeds the previous tallest structure in the world by 130 m. Contemporary critics regard it as aesthetically displeasing.

1909: Karl Landsteiner develops a system of blood grouping.
1919: The Paris Peace Conference opens at the Palace of Versailles, France
1929: The Grand Teton National Park is established by the United States Congress.
1939: In Bombay, Mohandas Gandhi begins a fast protesting against British rule in India.
1949: Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific, starring Mary Martin and Ezio Pinza, opens on Broadway and goes on to become R&H's second longest-running musical. It becomes an instant classic of the musical theatre. The score's biggest hit is the song "Some Enchanted Evening".
1959: Lee Petty wins the first Daytona 500.
1969: Apollo program: Apollo 9 returns safely to Earth after testing the Lunar Module.
1979: Khomeini seizes power in Iran, overthrowing Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi.
1989: The first of 24 Global Positioning System satellites is placed into orbit.
1991: The Congress of the United States passes a resolution authorizing the use of military force to liberate Kuwait.
