Red Mountain is where Canada's first female skiing Olympic gold medalist, Nancy Greene, grew up. And since her victory in 1968, many more skiers of world caliber have come out of Red Mountain. The first ski competitions in Canada were held on Red Mountain.

Red Mountain offers a vertical drop of 2,919 feet and 3850 acres of skiable area, 119 total marked runs and 5 different peaks. 8 km. north of the Canada-US border, Red Mountain is a 2 1/2 hour drive from Spokane or 3 1/3 hours from Kelowna.
Of the 119 marked runs 15% are rated beginner, 40% intermediate and 45% advanced. Average annual snowfall is 750 cm. and average winter temperature is -4 Degrees Celsius.

On the mountain, which is just a couple of km. outside of Rossland itself, are dozens of world class lodges and inns in which to stay while enjoying the hill.

Snowmobile and cross country trails are in abundance in the area. In the summer they become hiking and biking trails. Rossland has been named the mountain bike capital of Canada for its miles and miles of trails.
Lift ticket price below is for an adult day pass.
RED Mountain is a place of powerful contrasts. We’re the oldest resort in Western Canada yet we’re also the home of the most significant terrain expansion in the last decade. We’re proudly Canadian yet located only minutes over the USA border in the snowy Kootenay mountains. Guests love our unpretentious vibes and they also love the massive terrain—3,850 acres!— that puts us in the Top 10, size-wise, in North America.
