The Heroes Memorial

This memorial is believed to be the only such memorial on a post-secondary campus in the United States of America dedicated both to the September 11, 2001 events as well as the military conflicts of both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom
Currently, The Heroes Memorial contains 9,208 names. The names are those of the more than 3,000 victims of September 11 as well as the names and ages of 1,729 members of the US military killed in Afghanistan and the 4,456 soldiers killed in Iraq through August 22, 2011. The Memorial also pays tribute to the more than 46,000 members of the military who have been wounded in hostile action in Afghanistan and Iraq.
