Havfrue skulptur af Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen skænket til det Kongelige Bibliotek, er en Kopi af den orginale fra 1921 som befinder sig på Statens Museum for Kunst.
Placeringen : Denne del af Københavns Havn blev i gamle dage kaldt for Havfruegrunden, fordi man mente, at forekomsten af havfruer ved indsejlingen til Tøjhushavnen var særlig hyppig.

Why placed here ?
The location makes sense. This part of Copenhagen harbor was in the old days called MermaidGrund, because it was thought that the existence of mermaids at the entrance to Tøjhushavnen was particularly frequent.
