In Fall River, above I-195 and west of the Fall River Government Center, is this traverse disk mounted on a concrete plaza that is part of a bridge over I-195.
The mount is located near the intersection of North Main, South Main, Frontage, and Pocassett Streets, about 75 ft northwest and along a concrete parapet from the intersection curb, and about a foot from the wall, and a few feet from the wall of the bridge and under the date mark of the bridge. It is also near a mounted bell and a plaque stating that it is from the old city hall.
The disk is a traverse disk. The text set in a circle says, "Mass. Dept. of Public Works - Traverse Station - ". At the center is a triangle and point. Below is another point embossed. Above is embossed, "191A".
The disk has been spray-painted pink, but otherwise it is in good condition.
