The Charlton Town Pound is 1600 sq. ft. (40' by 40') square area enclosed by a 4' high field rock wall. The pound is attached by a common wall to the Bay Path Cemetery. The north side has a 5' opening flanked by granite columns. A metal post is fixed in the center.
A sign outside the pound identifies the structure. It reads:
