The town is situated in the Elster Mountains, in the northwesternmost area of the historic Bohemia region close to the border with Germany.
Textile exposition - development in the field of spinning, weaving, knitting, editing and printing of textiles, clothing and the production of bobbins and lace with a focus on the history of textile production in the Aš region.
Historical exposition documenting the autonomy of the development of Aš from the rule of Neuberg until 1775, samples of furniture, porcelain, glass and paintings from Aš burgher collections. A unique collection of ca. 25 000 pc of labour gloves.

V ašském muzeu je vedena ústrední evidence kamenných krížu a božích muk Ceské republiky, regionální evidence hranicních a mezních kamenu a základní dokumentace horizontálních vodních del. Spolecnost pro výzkum kamenných krížu, která pusobí pri Muzeu Aš, porádá každorocne poslední víkend v zárí setkání dobrovolných prispevovatelu a badatelu zajímajících se o problematiku drobných památek. Evidence drobných památek v soucastné dobe obsahuje na 2100 záznamu o kamenných krížích, 1400 záznamu o drobných památkách a 920 záznamu o hranicních kamenech. Soucástí techto evidencí je i rozsáhlá knihovna s literaturou týkající se drobných památek, která obsahuje na 1450 položek.
