This is a people's homage to Manuel de Sousa Alves in Janardo.

Manuel de Sousa Alves was a great benemerit of this small town on the outwards of Leiria.
In 1957 he built and ofered the gazebo, which is still in function nearby.
The plaque says:
"Homenagem da População de Janardo e da Freguesia de Marrazesno centenário do nascimento do ilustre cidadão Manuel de Sousa Alves"
