This a unique veterinary clinic in the sense that it operated by a sole veterinarian, the practice is limited to just dogs and cats, and this is a true neighborhood practice done the old fashioned way in terms how it is run but with the most modern facilities and techniques. From their website:
"Elkhorn Plaza Veterinary Clinic opened Nov 22, 1977, as one of the original tenants of the Elkhorn Plaza Shopping Center. Our services are primarily out-patient in nature and limit care to dogs and cats. We are able to meet the needs of over 95% of the patients that are presented to us, with most surgical cases going home the same day. While the clinic and staff are small, we strive to provide the very best in veterinary care for the pets of our clients, either in house or by referral to one of the many specialists in the Sacramento area and/or the University of California Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in Davis. Patients that require long term or specialized care are referred to one of the local 24 hour hospitals in the area. We have strived to keep this like an old-fashioned family practice, with many clients being with us for well over 20 years, a few for over 30 years."
