Long Description:
Sweetwater's classic Midway Drive-In is almost compete -- we can't say the projector is still there, but the screen, ticket office, sign, and walls around the drive-in are all intact and have even been painted recently. The individual car speakers and posts have been removed.

Blasterz were somewhat hesitant about taking photos, since this is now a private home. The entry to the theatre now sports many MANY rusting pieces of old farm equipment and some rusting cars -- this sounds ugly, but it's not. These things are obviously décor, and are carefully arranged.

The owners did a GREAT job keeping the historic paint scheme on the back of the theater screen, and obviously are improving this HUGE homestead of theirs. They also replaced the rotting base of the old neon drive-in sign with a handsome limestone wall.

Blasterz look forward to coming back in the future and seeing what other improvements these uber-talented DIY-ers have made!

The Midway is located near Avenger Field just off the I-20. If you visit, be sure and stop in at the nearby WASP WWII museum.
Current condition: Still stands but is used for other purpose (full or partial remains)
