A lonely chimney and an obsolete cotton compress are all that remains of a giant former cotton mill operation located in a triangle of land bordered by three sets of railroad tracks at Sam Houston Street and W Ave A in Sweetwater TX.

The three railroads that served this mill were as follows:

To the north: The Texas and Pacific Railway
To the west: The Gulf Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad
To the SW-NE: The Kansas City, Mexico & Orient Railway

From ebay, an antique postcard of the mill as it once was: (visit link)

The compress was built in 1929, which helps (somewhat) date this facility.
