When you enter the church from the street, you eye looks down the center aisle and focuses on the stained glass window over the altar.

Located on Truman Avenue at the intersection with Windsor Lane, this church building has been serving the residents of Key West since construction was completed in 1905. It became a basillica in 2012. When we visited, the parish doors were open, and the web page seems to indicate that this is the normal day-time practice so as to accommodate the many people who visit the island, as well as the residents who are members of the church. There is some colored glass over the doors that run down the sides of the building.
