The Portland Streetcar stops just across the street from Jamison Square in the Pearl District, Portland's trendiest neighborhood. Unfortunately the square is located a few blocks north of the Free Zone. The coordinates are the sign at the corner of NW 11th Avenue and NW Johnson Street.Jamison Square is located at NW Johnson and Kearney Streets, NW 10th and 11th Avenues. It is the district's first new park designed by noted landscape architect Peter Walker. It was named Jamison Square after one of the neighborhood's first artistic pioneers--William Jamison, the gallery dealer and artist who died in 1995. Alongside the park are the Pearl District art foundation's first project, a series of four painted-metal totem sculptures, called Tikitotemoniki, by internationally known artist Kenny Scharf. Besides Scharf's sculptures, the foundation commissioned designs for a clock tower by Ron Fisher, a dog drinking fountain from William Wegman, and a children's park from Maya Lin.
