This cultivator is attached to the flagpole outside the dealership along the Crowsnest Highway, just north of Fruitvale. One could say that it has risen above the menial chores it once was forced to undertake.

Bear's Den Equipment Sales is the local Kioti Tractor dealer for the area around Fruitvale, BC.

With five shovels, this cultivator would have been drawn by a single horse, mule or ox while the operator walked behind guiding and wrestling his unwieldy implement. Hard to say exactly where it would have found use, possibly between rows of potatoes, possibly in an orchard, possibly between widely spaced rows of corn. Several coats of paint have now obscured any indication of manufacture and we discovered this on a Saturday evening, so the dealership was closed, precluding our going in and asking of its heritage.
