A group of five road construction workers, vary in size from just over life size, to over 10 feet tall.
This series of sculptures features seven occupations, associated with road workers. The sculptures are an Employee Memorial to the workers who lost their lives, in job related accidents in the State of Michigan.
"This sculpture is a tribute to highway workers who have lost their lives on the job. The memorial was conceived and paid for by MDOT employees and retirees, and created by artist Carl Floyd using metal salvaged from highway jobs. It was installed in 1994." Text Source: (visit link)
