The Charlston Connector A is part of a network of foot and bike trails connecting Rossland.
You can start your trek at this point which is at the junction of 8th Avenue and Railroad Street.
It is about 250 metres which will take you to Charlston Street and Georgia Street, (Charlston Connector B).
You can continue down the trail to Columbia-Kootenay Road, (Charlston Connector C).
Unlike some of the other Rossland connector trails the Charlston Connector A, B, and C go through some residential regions, more open space, though there are some large trees to help shade the way.
This connector is rated moderate. It has some uneven surfaces with natural obstacles. It is moderately steep in sections and does have some switchbacks. These trails are not maintained in the winter.
