Long Description:
After hay or grass was cut with a sickle and allowed to dry and cure, the hay rake came into play to gather the hay into small localized piles in preparation for being gathered, hauled, and stacked for storage. The double draw bars on this rake indicates that it was intended to be drawn by a single horse.
