Hers was the vision which brought this theatre to life. She was the professor of art from 1899 - 1937 at South Dakota State college. Ada was a devoted and inspiring teacher, a skillful and courageous administrator and an artist who created lasting beauty.

Also, by this theatre is a stone laid in a wall which reads "Coolidge Sylvan Theatre, This stone laid by President and Mrs Calvin Coolidge, Sept. 10, 1927"
