This bronze plaque is located along a pathway behind the Department of Veterans' Affairs Building, a few feet northwest of the World War I doughboy sculpture. The momument reads:

"YOU TRIUMPHED OVER OBSTACLES
WHICH WOULD HAVE OVERCOME MEN
LESS BRAVE AND DETERMINED."
