Two installations of this work, one on the Douglas Ave. bridge and the other on the Lewis Street Bridge over the Arkansas River in Downtown Wichita KS. We are only waymarking the Douglas Ave. sculptures.
The arresting swirling delicate sculptures by Vicky Scuri complement the wonderful "Keeper of the Plains" sculpture, located several blocks north at the confluence of the Arkansas and Little Arkansas Rivers nearby.
These abstract modern sculptures were installed as part of the "Beautifying Wichita Through Sculpture" program by the city of Wichita, and they most certainly do!! They add great beauty and motion to an otherwise standard road bridge.
