SIMPSON PARK a 10-acre recreational area on the northern edge of Chillicothe, with a swimming pool and other facilities, was presented to the city by Dr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Simpson... - Missouri: A Guide to the "Show Me State", Tour 9 , pg. 476
The park has been increased in size since the Guide was written. The park has play grounds, picnic shelters, swimming pool, tennis courts and a ball field. The park is well maintained and popular with the community.
