In Boston's West Roxbury neighborhood is the Holy Name Parish, which has great frieze art around three entrance, the greatest of which faces Centre Street.

The church is located next to the rotary where Centre Street meets the West Roxbury Parkway. Three entrances have frieze work. One faces east toward a driveway; one faces west toward the rotary; and the most elaborate entrance faces south toward Centre Street.

The Centre Street entrance has two entrances: a lower entrance surrounded by a plain cement wall, and an upper entrance accessed by stairways. The door is slightly recessed. On either side of the door are several ornately carved columns. Just above the door is a row of ornate features, then a semi-circular area of a scene of the crucifiction with people on either side looking on. Above that is an arch of design features. Above this fuature is a figure on a throne. Above the figure are seven standing figures fully carved with a coat of arms on either side. Above this is a circular window. At the roof peak is another fully carved figure in an alcove that is topped by a cross.

The church was started in 1930, then finished in 1939, according to the history document on the church web site. The church is designed in the Itialian Romanesque architecture by Edward T. P. Graham.
