The Benedictine monastery was founded by Vladislav I. in 1115. The original St Mary's Church was rebuilt by J. Santini in the style of Baroque Gothic at the beginning of the 18th cent. In 1785 the monastery was closed down and rebuilt as a chateau according to the project of K. I. Dienzenhofer. Now, an exhibition of Baroque plastic art is here too.
The picture was taken from the driveway between Kladruby town and Kladruby monastery.
