In 1924, Charles Percy Austin (1883-1948) painted one of the corners at the famous Franciscan Mission of San Juan Capistrano. The corner features a corridor with several arches. There is a garden on the courtyard before the buildings. The garden seems to be more sparse than it is depicted in the painting. Beyond the different plants, differences in the painting from current status includes some trees behind the building and there is now a walkway in the courtyard where a tree was present in the painting. The painting is dated 1924 and is entitled "San Juan Capistrano". The painting is on public view at the building near the exit.
