The plaque, placed in March 2013, is attached to the wall of Liberty Hall, the headquarters of the Services, Industrial, Professional, and Technical Union (SIPTU). It commemorates Irish Women Workers' Union which has been active between 1911 and 1984, and the plaque text includes this song:

Outside the laundry we put up a fight
For a fortnight's holiday
They said we'd have to strike
So we keep marching up and down,
As we nearly did for half a crown
We are fighting people
who cannot be kept down

The song was sang during the strikes for two weeks of annual paid holidays in 1945.
