The Cherokee Strip Museum is well worth a short trip off the I-35 to see. Their archives are amazing -- beloved local historian Fred Beers has spent years writing and documenting the history of the 1893 Cherokee Strip land run and the subsequent history of this county for the local newspaper. Blasterz enjoyed the playground, old jail, schoolhouse, and farm exhibits especially -- and don't miss the llamas next door!
IMPORTANT: The llamas next door are NOT pets, and NOT part of the Museum. They should be enjoyed from afar. Do not try to pet or feed the llamas -- they spit and may bite.
