The county normal schools were the teachers colleges in the state of Wisconsin. The county's were charged to educate the teachers for the rural schools in Wisconsin countys. The school was closed in 1976. The building was used as the Middle School for a couple of years. After that it became the senior center for a couple of years. It is now the Boys and Girls Club of Antigo.
