The church sits on a hill above Taralga. It is built of grey granite which is the predominant building material for the majority of older buildings in Taralga. The surrounding soils are volcanic in origin & were once dotted in these granite rocks which were put to good use.
The church itself is in reasonable condition & still bears the original shingle roof albeit now covered by lichen. Despite its age & condition it is not listed on the NSW Government's Heritage Website.
