This fountain is not at the Teck Cominco smelter, but at the fertilizer plant to the west of it.

Strictly speaking the fertilizer plant is not in Trail, but in Warfield, which is up Highway 22 a couple of km. from Trail.
This is a cute little fountain, featuring an elephant in the centre of a shallow pool spraying himself to keep cool on those hot and windless summer days. It is located in front of the security office at the plant and those seven pots surrounding the fountain overflow with flowers all summer. Unfortunately, we took the pix in early spring.
