James G. McMynn Park is a large municipal park that is open to the public all year. During the winter you can build that snowman, make snow angels or throw a few snowballs.
Spring and summer this is very busy as there is a large grassy area for playing tag, throw a few baseballs or that game of tag football.
There is a playground for tots and children of all ages. Offering swings, merry-go-round, spring toys and jungle gym.
Also available is a small baseball diamond. During September - March across on 7th Street is the arena offering scheduled time slots for skating and hockey.
The park was named after James G. McMynn Midway's first Mayor, and the longest serving mayor in Canada, retiring after 38 years.
For such a small community, Midway offers a lot of places to blow off a little steam.
