A subtle memorial to the sacrifices of those who settled Osborne County in 1870 stands on a far corner of the courthouse lawn. The monument was placed in 1929 in honor of all Osborne Co. Pioneers.
The memorial was dedicated on 30 May 1929. The text reads as follows:
Erected to the memory of those early settlers of Osborne County who made possible our homes of today
On the 4 sides of the base for the column, are the words:
Freedom
Aventure
Pioneers
