There are a number of old tractors and plows on display along the back roads in this area, but this is on a main thoroughfare in Arcade, NY seems to have been deliberately given a place of honor.

This tractor and plow combination display caught my attention because there are to seats for mounted riders between the two pieces of equipment. My theory is that the plow was originally a rider mounted horse-drawn plow, but with the advent of farm tractors, it was retrofitted to be pulled by a tractor.
If you ave a better explanation, please post it. I grew up in farm country, but this equipment is older than me.
