The Arena and Aquatic Centre complex was opened on June 20th, 1987. It is located on the west side of 19th Street, on the south side of Highway 3, or Central Avenue.

Home to the Border Bruins KIJHL hockey team , Grand Forks Minor Hockey and the Grand Forks Figure Skating Club as well as men's and women's recreational hockey teams. Not a large arena, it has seating for a maximum of about 500.
The facility operates from late August until the end of March. Public skating, drop in hockey and Parent and Tot skating sessions are scheduled regularly as well as several special events throughout the season.
Public skating is available during the open season on the following schedule:
Toonie Skates - Every
Tuesdays, 3:45 to 4:45
and Fridays, 1:45 to 3:30
Saturday Skating
5 pm to 6:30pm
Sunday Skating
Sundays, 3 to 5 pm
Parent & Tot Skating
Mondays, 10 am to 11 am
Thursdays, 1:15 to 2:15pm

Adult Only Skating
Wednesdays 10 to 11 am
