Das Kraftwerk Langkampfen wurde im November 1998 in Betrieb genommen. Das Laufkraftwerk befindet sich zwischen den beiden Innstaustufen Kirchbichl und Ebbs-Oberaudorf und beansprucht insgesamt 9 km Flussstrecke. Um das 8,3 Meter hohe Gefälle dieser Strecke zu nutzen, musste der Inn von der Wehranlage flussabwärts bis zur Kufsteiner Innbrücke etwas eingetieft werden.
Das Hauptbauwerk, bestehend aus Kraftwerk und Wehranlage, wurde quer zum Flussverlauf errichtet. Im Inneren des Kraftwerkes sind zwei Maschinensätze installiert. Sie bestehen aus je einer Kaplan-Rohrturbine und einem Synchron-Generator. Mit einer Maschinenleistung von 31,5 Megawatt, einer Fallhöhe von 8,3 Metern und einem Wasserdurchfluss von 425.000 Litern pro Sekunde erzeugt das Kraftwerk Langkampfen jährlich bis zu 169 Gigawattstunden elektrische Energie.

The power station Langkampfen was commissioned in November 1998. The run-of-the-river power plant is located between the two dams Kirchbichl and Ebbs-Oberaudorf and requires a total of 9 km stretch of river. To use the 8.3 meter high slope of this line, the Inn had to be deepened from the weir downstream to Kufstein.
The main building, consisting of plant and dam system was built across the river course. Inside the power plant, two generator sets are installed. It consists of a Kaplan bulb turbine and a synchronous generator. With an engine output of 31.5 megawatts, a height of 8.3 meters and a water flow rate of 425,000 liters per second, the power plant Unterlangkampfen generated up to 169 gigawatt-hours of electrical energy annually.
