Kašna stojí na nádvorí barokního zámku vybudovaného v roce 1730. Je však pravdepodobne starší, snad ze 16. století, kdy byl v Chýnove vybudován vodovod a kašna na námestí.

The fountain stands in the courtyard of the baroque castle built in 1730. However, it is probably older, probably from the 16th century when it was built in Chýnov aqueduct and the fountain in the square.
