This trail is 13 km long and not marked, but it is a well known circuit trail with many hikers, especially in summer. GPS is recommended.
At the trailhead there is
a parking area called "la zona recreativa de La Caldera". There is also a bus stop for the local bus to Aguamansa, which we took for Puerto de la Cruz.
Parts of this trail are a high route with beautiful view to the valley of Orotava (visited and described first by Alexander von Humboldt, the geographer). Another highlight of this trail is a rock formation called "Los Organos", because it looks like an organ.
Parking: N 28° 21.475 W 016° 30.052
Trailhead/trail website: [Web Link]
Trail allowances or restrictions: No restrictions, but sure footedness (agility) needed, sometimes slippery.
Trail type: Mixed (forest, dand, stone), sometimes difficult.
