Le château d'Epinal actuel fût construit au milieu du XIIIème siècle par l'évêque Jacques de Lorraine.
Il se trouve sur une épine rocheuse surplombant la ville à 387m d'altitude.
Il fût détruit en 1670 par les troupes du roi Louis XIV.
Depuis 1992, le château est classé monument historique.
À proximité du château vous pourrez trouver un parc avec des animaux et des jeux pour enfants.

The actual castle of Epinal was built by the bishop Jacques de Lorraine in the middle of the XIII century.
It is at the highest place of the city (387m).
It was destroyed in 1670 by Louis XIV troops.
Since 1992, the castle is classed Historical Monument.
Near the castle, you can found a park with animals and playgrounds for childrens.
