Enterprise Way Fire Hall looks like a fairly new facility.
The firefighters of Kelowna have dedicated a wonderful monument as a memorial to those who have gone before and placed it in front of Fire Hall Number One.

The goal of the Kelowna Fire Department is to provide realistic and effective fire protection and public safety services to all areas of the City of Kelowna. This includes fire suppression and rescue, fire prevention, fire safety inspections, fire training, first medical responses, hazardous material response, specialty rescue, pre-incident planning, dispatch and emergency management.
The Kelowna Fire Department operates from seven fire stations located strategically throughout the City. Each has a full compliment of modern, up-to-date vehicles and equipment. There are 122 full time personnel and 54 paid-on-call volunteers.
In 2011, the department responded to over 9,518 calls including 2,993 alarms, structural, vehicle and chimney fires, motor vehicle accidents and a number of rescue and hazardous materials incidents with 6,525 medical first responder calls.
The Fire Prevention Branch completed 4,157 life safety inspections, 118 public education presentations and 40 fire investigations.
The dispatch centre, which handles 9-1-1 calls for all fire departments within the Regional District of the Central Okanagan, processed 21,269 incidents in 2011 resulting in approximately 162,649 radio and telephone transactions.
The Department’s full-time personnel promote public safety year-round, through fire inspections and public education programs like Fire Prevention Week. Trained volunteer firefighters contribute greatly to emergency efforts in outlying areas of the City.
