The crossing is made about a half a kilometre upstream of where the river meets its other half, the North Kettle River. Westbridge is on Highway 33, about 13 km. north of Rock Creek and about 110 km south of Kelowna.
This bridge replaces a wooden bridge which burned down many years ago. The old concrete and rock piers remain just upstream of this bridge, and the southern one has a benchmark in the top.
If there were another bridge in Westbridge west of this bridge, then this bridge would be the Westbridge east bridge, but there is no west bridge in Westbridge, so this bridge, instead of being the Westbridge east bridge, is just the Westbridge bridge, or the bridge at Westbridge.
