"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. The wretched refuse of your teaming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
This Statue of Liberty is metal, but covered with a shiny white plasticine coating of some sort. Instead of lifting high a torch, she holds a light globe, which lights the area at night. The statue stands on a concrete base approximately four feet high.
On the north side of the base, a bronze plaque reads:
Dedicated in memory of
Betty Ann Harrison
by the
people of Lindsay and
Lindsay Chamber of Commerce
1990
A second bronze plaque indicates that it was remodeled by the Chamber in March of 2004.
