This is a bronze statue of a boy musician at the corner of Adenauerstrasse and Bahnhofstrasse in Altenbeken. There is no plaque nor any other information on site, so I tried some extensive internet research, but all I could come up with was a postcard from 2008, on which it is shown and called "Flötenspieler" (Flute player). This seems a bit strange to me because he plays the instrument one-handed, and I rather took it to be a primitive kind of trumpet, similar to a vuvuzela. The statue looks quite new and I don't think it is much older than 5-10 years. The boy is dressed in an old-fashioned style, wears slippers and a shoulder bag and holds something in his left hand that could be three roses. Should anybody have further information, please contact me and I'll be happy to update the waymark.

Diese Bronzestatue eines jungen Musikanten steht im Ortszentrum von Altenbeken an der Ecke Adenauerstraße / Bahnhofstraße. Ich habe vor Ort weder ein Schild noch sonst irgendeinen Hinweis entdecken können und das einzige Ergebnis einer intensiven Internetrecherche war eine Ansichtskarte von 2008, auf der die Statue abgebildet und als Flötenspieler bezeichnet ist. Das kommt mir etwas merkwürdig vor, da der Junge einhändig spielt und ich das Instrument daher eher für eine primitive Trompete, etwa in der Art einer Vuvuzela, gehalten hätte. Die Statue macht einen recht neuen Eindruck und ich schätze sie auf kaum älter als fünf bis zehn Jahre. Der Junge ist altmodisch gekleidet, trägt Pantinen und eine Schultertasche und hält etwas in der linken Hand, das drei Rosen sein könnten. Sollte jemand weitere Informationen haben, würde ich mich über eine Nachricht freuen, damit ich den Waymark entsprechend ergänzen kann.
