This Motel 6 is a good alternative to the expensive resorts in the area if you are just looking for a place to catch 40 winks.

Clean, quiet, safe and convenient to many area attractions, this Motel 6 is also about a third of the price of even most other modest resort rooms in the area. The poster of this Waymark paid $69 per night during the Easter Weekend when the Palm Dessert also sponsored the huge White Party events as well. Interestingly, although the motel is located just inside the city limits of Rancho Mirage (on the border with Cathedral City), it calls itself Motel 6 Palm Springs- depsite the fact that there are other Motel 6's inside the Palm Springs city limits.
The site also has a pool and jacuzzi and offers free coffee in the lobby in the morning.

Resort prices are very high in the area...so, if one is just going to visit the area attractions, this is a good alternative. Of course, if you are looking for the amenities of a resort and spa...look elsewhere.
