Seidnitz ist seit 1902 ein Stadtteil im Dresdner Osten. Es gehört zu den statistischen Stadtteilen Seidnitz/Dobritz und Tolkewitz/Seidnitz-Nord und damit zum Ortsamtsbereich Blasewitz. Seidnitz befindet sich zwischen Striesen und Reick und ist vor allem durch die Dresdner Pferderennbahn bekannt. Schon im 18. Jahrhundert gehörten solche Rennen zum Programm höfischer Feste im Stadtgebiet. Das heutige Gelände wird aber erst seit 1891 auf Initiativen des Dresdner Rennvereins 1890 e. V. und des Industriellen Hugo von Hoesch für Rennen genutzt.

Seidnitz since 1902 is a district in the east of Dresden. It belongs to the statistical districts Seidnitz / Dobritz and Tolkewitz / Seidnitz North and therefore to the local exchange area Blasewitz. Seidnitz is located between Striesen and Reick and is especially known for the Dresden Racecourse. Already in the 18th Century these races were the program of courtly festivals in the city. The current site is used for racing since 1891 on initiatives of the Dresden Racing Association 1890 and the industrialist Hugo von Hoesch.
